Twenty-six-year-old Selma Blair portrays the spunky Zoe Bean on Zoe, Duncan, Jack, and Jane. She lives in a New York apartment with her hip mother (Mary Page Keller), and encounters all the problems of your average coming-of-age teen: boys, school, sex, friends, etc...even discussing the Throbbing Channel with her mom (imagine doing that with your mother!).
