Michael Rosenbaum plays the cool, smooth Jack
Cooper on Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane. His humorous, overly-
confident, and almost self-centered character provides a laugh in every
episode. Of his character, Rosenbaum says, "He's a cocky, quick-witted
high school kid who thinks he's already on Wall Street."
Luckily, Rosenbaum can easily differentiate
himself from his obstinate character. "I am less stubborn. Jack has to
beat everyone. I'm the first to admit I'm wrong; Jack is the last!" he
says.
Rosenbaum is no stranger to the big screen. He
portrayed Parker, the comical fraternity brother in the thriller
Urban Legend, costarring Joshua Jackson, Rebecca Gayheart, Tara
Reid, and others. Also, in the Midnight in the Garden of Good and
Evil a film adaption of the bestselling novel directed by Clint
Eastwood (True Crime), Rosenbaum played George Tucker.
Rosenbaum was born on July 11 in Oceanside, Long
Island, but was raised in Indiana. Based on this information, Rosenbaum
describes himself as "a Hoosier with the soul of a New Yorker."
Obviously.
He got his start when he took a bet to audition
for a play in high school. After landing the role, Rosenbaum went on to
play the leads in many stage productions. He received a BA in theater
and communications from Western Kentucky University. After graduating,
Rosenbaum followed his roots back to New York, where he grabbed roles
in many off-Broadway musicals and small independent films. He also
snagged some guest roles in comedy series and had a recurring role in
the Conan O' Brien Show skit "The Amsterdam Kid." Rosenbaum
received another taste of fame when he landed the regular role on the
WB's Tom, starring Tom Arnold, as Jonathan. Unfortunately, the
show was canceled.
Michael Rosenbaum, a Los Angeles resident, uses
his spare time to play in an ice hockey league. Ice hockey has been his
favorite sport since childhood, and follows the New York Rangers
carefully. He developed a love for music, as he plays acoustic and
electric guitar. Rosenbaum is also easily distracted by his full-size
arcade-style Galaga video game. Someday, Rosenbaum hopes, he will get
to have his grandmother see him on Broadway.
